Marmolada - Dolomites
Panoramic Terrace
The scenic terrace at Punta Rocca (3265 m) is an awe-inspiring observation point that is easily accessible to everyone, including individuals with special needs. Once you arrive into the mountain station with its wide windows, there are no stairs and you can get up to the terrace with a lift. From up there you can enjoy gorgeous 360° views of the Natural World Heritage Dolomites.
Europe’s highest museum
At the Serauta cable car station it is possible to visit the Marmolada Grande Guerra 3000 m Museum, completely renovated and expanded in 2015 to create a moving visual and multimedia exhibition that begins with the situation at the beginning of the 20th century and continues with the daily routine of war up in the high mountains, one of the more interesting and indeed unique aspects of the First World War, as never before had battles been fought at such high altitudes.
